Snow Driving   
             




The entire Land Rover lineup has a unique Terrain Response® system that can be set for different driving

conditions: rock crawl, mud and ruts, sand, grass/gravel/snow or road.


Here are some additional tips for off-road driving in snow.



Before Driving in Snow:

Ensure that you Land Rover is equipped with the proper tires, a summer tire will not be of much use in the snow.


Ensure all light and markers a clean and operational.


Make sure someone knows where you are going, your desired route and your expected time or date of return.


Keep a small emergency kit in the vehicle, stocked with small blankets, energy bars of some sort, water,

flashlight, basic first aid equipment, etc?.


Without knowing the thickness of the ice, stay clear of all waterways, stream, lakes and ponds.




Basic's for Driving in Snow:


Use your momentum to carry you through deep snow.


Do not select a gear that is too low in snow as it will spin tires more easily.


Be careful when crossing snow ruts or obstacles the driving dynamics of winter driving vary greatly from what

you might experience in summer driving.


Make sure you select snow mode using your Terrain Response® system.


Select the highest gear possible for the conditions.
