Remember off-roading
is about the experience and the adventure;
slow and steady wins the race
When applying throttle, make sure you are smooth in its
application,
this will maximize traction and keep your wheels from
spinning and losing
traction.
Steer in advance, pay attention to what's in the path ahead and try
to
minimize braking.
You control your Land Rover, not the other way around.
How to Overcome Obstacles:
Approach ridges straight on.
Approach a log, rocky step or ditch diagonally so that three wheels
always retain contact with the ground.
Make sure tires are fully inflated to road pressures for rocky ground.
Straddle deep ruts with your vehicle. This will keep the vehicle level.
How to Return to the Road:
Inspect your vehicle
to ensure there was no damage to your vehicle.
Check for cuts in tires including inside the walls.
Check for debris lodged in the underside of the vehicle and in the
tires, caked mud in your wheels can cause a strong vibration once you hit
higher speeds.
Clean your lights, windows, and mirrors if dirty or muddy.
